Benjamin Chase

Ben joined ACA in 2016, becoming an associate in 2021. He has worked on a wide range of projects across multiple sectors. He is a creative engineer with solid analytical skills paired with a strong knowledge of construction processes and manufacture.

A particular interest for Ben is the design of expressed structure best exemplified by his work on feature stairs. He is the team lead in BIM and is passionate about utilising the latest advancements in computer software to add value to design. This is applied in both new build and conservation.

Key projects include the £8m Hintze Hall project including suspension of a blue whale skeleton at the Natural History Museum, £3m Castle performing Arts Centre at Dunottar School and £8m office fit out for the Global HQ of a major fashion label with 4 flight feature stair.

Other projects include a single storey extension to the Grade I Listed St Peters and St Paul's Church in Shoreham, renovation of a 5-storey terraced Victorian mansion block in Margate and a two storey timber framed Kindergarten in Port Au Prince Haiti.
