Internal Refurbishment Project to include Reinforced Concrete Assessment & Repair

ACA have assessed cracks to the Nave roof as part of care of this historic cathedral completed in May 1961.  As a reinforced concrete of pre-war design many defects have arisen characteristic of design of this period.  ACA have been appointed to assist in the 4.3m contract due to complete in 2017 for the removal of asbestos plaster from the nave, repair of cracks to the nave structure and re-ordering, new lighting, new acoustics and services.  The Cathedral is Grade 2* Listed.
